Privacy policy
Last updated 4 October 2026.
This policy explains what The Saban Company B.V. does with personal data when you visit or use solochance.io. It follows the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and Dutch implementing law.
Who is responsible
The controller is The Saban Company B.V., Besloten vennootschap (B.V.), registered with the Dutch Chamber of Commerce under KvK 91125030, at Jaap Bijzerweg 19, 3446 CR Woerden, the Netherlands.
Privacy questions and requests go to [email protected]. We are not required to appoint a data protection officer and have not appointed one, so that address reaches the people who run the service.
What we process, why, and for how long
| Data | Purpose | Legal basis | Kept for |
|---|---|---|---|
| IP address, browser, requested page, time, and referring page in server logs | Keeping the site available, finding faults, and blocking abuse | Legitimate interests in a secure service, article 6(1)(f) GDPR | 90 days |
| IP address and request details, checked by Cloudflare before a request reaches our server | Stopping attacks and automated traffic | Legitimate interests in preventing abuse, article 6(1)(f) GDPR | Under the terms of the data processing agreement with Cloudflare |
| A random session ID, and a session record on our server without your IP address or browser details | Keeping the calculator and filters working while you use them | Legitimate interests in a working site, article 6(1)(f) GDPR | 120 minutes after your last request, then deleted |
| The coin and hashrate you enter in the calculator | Working out your odds | Legitimate interests in running the calculator you asked for, article 6(1)(f) GDPR | Not stored and not linked to you |
| Page address, referring page, campaign parameters, country from your IP address, device and browser type, and clicks on links leading off the site, sent to our statistics provider | Counting page views and seeing which pages get read | Legitimate interests in measuring use of the site, article 6(1)(f) GDPR | Kept as counts. The identifier behind them is a hash with a salt that is deleted every 24 hours |
| Your email address, name, and anything you write to us by email | Answering your question, request, or complaint | Legitimate interests in handling correspondence, article 6(1)(f) GDPR | 24 months after the conversation ends, unless the law requires longer |
You need no account and never have to give us personal data to use the site. Writing to us is up to you, and without an email address we cannot reply.
Visitor statistics
We count page views with Plausible, an Estonian service that works without cookies and keeps its data in Germany. The counting code is part of our own bundle, so your browser fetches no file from them and the count itself is the only request that leaves this site.
Each page view sends the address of the page without its query string, apart from campaign parameters such as utm_source, the page you came from, and your device, operating system, and browser. Clicks on links leading off this site, file downloads, and the fact that a form was submitted are counted the same way, without anything you typed into it. How far down a page you scrolled and how long it stayed open are sent as well. No cookie is set, nothing is written to your device, and no profile is built across pages or sites.
The request that carries the count also carries your IP address, the way any request your browser makes does. Plausible reads your country, region, and city from it and then drops it, so it is never written to their logs, their database, or a disk. To count you once a day without a cookie, they hash your IP address and browser together with a salt that is deleted every 24 hours, which leaves nothing that can be traced back to you or matched to the next day.
Our basis is the legitimate interest in knowing which pages get read, under article 6(1)(f) GDPR. Since nothing is stored on your device, this counter needs no consent under article 5(3) of the ePrivacy Directive. Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control do not stop the count. Two ways to stay out of it: set plausible_ignore to true in local storage for this site, or block requests to plausible.io. Each one leaves the site fully usable.
What we do not do
- We do not sell, rent, or trade personal data.
- We run no advertising and no ad networks.
- We use no fingerprinting, no session recording, no heat maps, and no tag manager.
- Fonts, styles, and icons come from our own domain, so the visitor counter above is the only request that leaves this site.
- We build no behavioural profiles and take no automated decisions that have legal effects for you, in the sense of article 22 GDPR.
- Prices, network figures, and solo blocks come from adfreemarketcap.com, mempool.space, Blockchair, and xmrchain.net, called by our own servers on a schedule. Your requests are never forwarded to them and they receive no personal data about you.
- Rigly links are plain links without a referral code. Rigly receives nothing from us, and once you follow one, its own privacy policy applies.
Who else can see the data
We use a small number of service providers. They handle personal data on our instructions, under a data processing agreement as article 28 GDPR requires, and may only use it to deliver their service to us.
| Service | Provider | Where data is processed |
|---|---|---|
| Hosting, database, and backups | OVH SAS (OVHcloud) | the Netherlands |
| Reverse proxy, DDoS protection, and bot filtering | Cloudflare, Inc. | European edge locations, with support access from the United States. Safeguard for transfers outside the EEA: EU standard contractual clauses and the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. |
| Cookieless visitor statistics | Plausible Insights OÜ | Tartu, Estonia; data processed and stored in Germany |
We also disclose data when the law requires it, for example to a court or a supervisory authority. Where a provider processes data outside the European Economic Area, we rely on the European Commission standard contractual clauses or an adequacy decision, and you can ask us for a copy of the safeguard we use.
Cookies and local storage
We only store what the site needs to work or to remember a choice you made. None of it is used for advertising or tracking, so under article 11.7a of the Dutch Telecommunications Act it needs no consent.
| Name | What it does | Lasts |
|---|---|---|
solochanceio-session |
Holds a random session ID so the calculator and filters keep working. | 120 minutes after your last request |
XSRF-TOKEN |
Protects the forms on this site against forged requests. | 120 minutes after your last request |
__cf_bm |
Set by Cloudflare only when it needs to tell people from bots. | 30 minutes |
sc-theme |
Remembers a light or dark mode choice in your browser’s local storage. Until you choose, the site follows your system setting. It is never sent to us. | Until you clear it |
How we protect data
Traffic runs over HTTPS. Sessions on our server hold no IP address or browser details, and expired sessions are deleted every hour. Access to the servers and the database is limited to the people who run the service.
Your rights
- Access to the personal data we hold about you, and a copy of it.
- Rectification of data that is wrong or incomplete.
- Erasure of your data.
- Restriction of processing while a dispute is being resolved.
- Portability of the data you gave us, in a machine-readable file.
Right to object. Because we rely on our legitimate interests, you can object to that processing at any time. We then stop, unless we have compelling reasons that outweigh your interests, or need the data for a legal claim.
Email [email protected] to use a right. We answer within one month and tell you in advance if a complex request needs longer, up to two further months. Using a right is free unless a request is clearly unfounded or excessive. We do not link log entries to names, so it helps if you tell us your IP address and roughly when you visited.
Complaints
If you think we handle your data wrongly, tell us first so we can fix it. You can also complain to the Dutch supervisory authority, Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens, or to the authority in the EU or EEA country where you live or work. Visit their website, opens in a new tab.
Changes
When this policy changes we update the date at the top. If a change affects your rights or how we use your data, we say so on this page.
